Your Timepiece Deserves Skilled Hands

From routine gear train inspection to comprehensive restoration, we approach each watch with technical precision and genuine care. Our work speaks through consistent timekeeping and renewed confidence in your timepiece.

Our Service Approach

Three distinct service levels designed to meet the needs of your watch, from focused assessment to complete restoration.

Gear train inspection

Gear Train Inspection

A targeted assessment of the watch's gear train — the series of wheels and pinions that transmit energy from the mainspring barrel to the escapement. Each wheel is inspected for worn or chipped teeth, and each pinion for damaged leaves.

  • Pivot condition assessed under magnification
  • End-shake verification at each position
  • Root cause identification for timekeeping issues
Turnaround: 3–5 business days NT$5,200

Complete train and escapement service

Complete Train & Escapement Service

A focused mechanical service addressing the watch's power delivery system from barrel to balance. The barrel is serviced — mainspring extracted, measured, and replaced if fatigued. Each wheel and pinion in the train is cleaned, inspected, and lubricated at pivot points.

  • Escapement geometry and impulse delivery verified
  • Balance assembly service with shock protection
  • Regulation across positions with rate observation
Turnaround: 2–4 weeks NT$20,000

Thoroughbred restoration

Thoroughbred Restoration

A complete, attentive restoration for fine timepieces that are ready to be brought back to their finest condition. The full scope of work is discussed and agreed upon before commencement. The movement receives a comprehensive overhaul.

  • Case restoration honoring original surface patterns
  • Dial treatment per owner direction
  • Photographic documentation and service narrative
Timeline: 6–12 weeks NT$55,000

Common Questions

Answers to questions we hear often about our service approach and process.

How do I know which service my watch needs?

If your watch is showing signs like erratic timekeeping, unusual sounds, or has stopped unexpectedly, the Gear Train Inspection is a sensible first step. It identifies the specific issue and helps determine whether a targeted repair or more comprehensive service is appropriate. If you're uncertain, feel welcome to contact us and describe what you're experiencing — we'll offer guidance on the best path forward.

What happens during the Complete Train and Escapement Service?

This service addresses the core mechanical system that keeps your watch running accurately. The mainspring barrel is opened, the spring is inspected and replaced if needed. Each wheel in the gear train is cleaned and checked for wear. The escapement receives detailed attention — the pallet fork, guard pin, and banking are all verified. The balance assembly is serviced, including the hairspring and shock protection. After reassembly, the watch is regulated across multiple positions and observed for consistent performance.

How long will my watch be in service?

The Gear Train Inspection typically requires 3 to 5 business days. The Complete Train and Escapement Service takes 2 to 4 weeks. Thoroughbred Restoration, being the most comprehensive service, ranges from 6 to 12 weeks depending on the specific work agreed upon. These timelines reflect our commitment to careful, unhurried work rather than speed for its own sake. We'll provide updates during the process so you're informed of progress.

What if additional work is needed during service?

If we discover additional issues during inspection or service, we'll contact you before proceeding with any work beyond the original scope. You'll receive a clear explanation of what we found, why it matters, and what the additional service would involve — including cost and time. We never proceed with unplanned work without your approval.

How should I care for my watch after service?

After service, your watch will be performing at its best. To maintain this condition, wind it regularly if it's manual, avoid exposure to strong magnetic fields, and keep it away from extreme temperature changes. Water resistance should be tested annually if you wear the watch near water. We're happy to discuss care specific to your particular timepiece when you collect it from service.

Do you work on all watch brands?

We service most mechanical watch movements, from vintage pieces to contemporary designs. If your watch has a particularly unusual or proprietary movement that requires specialized tools or parts we don't maintain, we'll let you know honestly rather than take on work we can't complete properly. Contact us with details about your timepiece and we'll confirm whether we can serve you well.
